How to Fit 3.5 oz Snacks in Vending Machines and Micro-Markets

Sivaro cashew pouches on a table in a warm lounge

A 3.5 oz Sivaro pouch measures 137 x 170 x 76 mm (5.39 x 6.69 x 2.99 in). Whether it vends cleanly depends on the coil in your machine, so hold those three numbers against the coil and run a few test vends before you load a full row. In micro-markets and open-shelf pantries, where nothing has to drop through a spiral, the bag goes straight onto the shelf.

How big is a 3.5 oz Sivaro pouch?

Every pouch holds 3.5 oz. These are the numbers to check against your machine.

Measurement Millimeters Inches
Width 137 5.39
Height 170 6.69
Depth 76 2.99

All eight flavors use the same pouch. Depth is measured on a filled bag.

Pouches ship 24 to a case and have a one-year shelf life, so a slower column can sit for a while without going stale.

How do you check whether a pouch will vend from your coil?

Machines and coils vary from model to model, so treat this as our recommendation. Check four things before a pouch goes into a column.

Before you load a row

Depth against the gap between coil turns · Width against the inside of the coil · Height against the tray above · Three or four test vends

The test vend tells you more than the tape measure. Watch whether the pouch drops flat or hangs on the last turn, and whether it lands in the delivery bin without catching. If it hangs, try a wider coil or move that flavor to a shelf or a micro-market rack.

Where does a 3.5 oz bag fit best?

Micro-markets, office pantries and grab-and-go shelves take the pouch as it is. Buyers can pick it up and read the back before they pay, and for a premium bag the ingredient list is part of what they're paying for.

We already sell in airport shops and hotels, where a full-size bag with a real flavor sits comfortably next to the usual lineup. If you also stock office pantries, our office snack planning guide has a formula for how many bags a team goes through.

Which flavors should go in a premium row?

Our recommendation is to lead with savory and keep one sweet slot. Everything Bagel Cashews are seasoning the way New York eats it: white and black sesame, onion, garlic and salt roasted onto whole cashews, toasty and garlicky with a little sweetness at the finish. Smokey Almonds bring smoked paprika and real smoke. Za'atar Cashews are herby and tart with sumac, and Ceylon Curry Leaf Cashews build their heat slowly from a full Sri Lankan curry blend.

For the sweet slot, use Golden Toasted Coconut Cashews or Dried Mango, which is thick, chewy and lightly sweetened with cane sugar. If a location has no sales history yet, the mixed trial case covers all eight flavors, and the first month shows you which ones move.

What will buyers read on the label?

All five nut flavors are roasted in New York maple syrup with no seed oils and no other added oil, with rice fiber as the anticaking agent. The three dried fruits are sweetened with cane sugar, with no added sulfites and no dyes. No Sivaro product contains food dyes, maltodextrin or titanium dioxide. For more on reading these labels, see how to spot seed oils on a snack label and how to read a dried fruit ingredient list.

For the allergen card on your machine or market: every nut flavor contains tree nuts. Everything Bagel and Za'atar also contain sesame, and Golden Toasted Coconut contains coconut and honey. Made in a facility where wheat/gluten, soy, tree nuts, eggs, dairy, shellfish, peanuts and sesame are present.
